For all those times they told you to "go hoe the earth". And they were right.
Take part in our Farmer's Day in Marano Ticino: a young professional will welcome you into his daily routine, from milking the goats to collecting eggs and tending the vegetable garden.
An experience of more than 3 hours, enriched by a tasting of home-made cheeses!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 08:00 at the meeting point in Marano Ticino (NO). We will find our guide, a young dairyman and farmer, waiting for us, ready to welcome us into his everyday life!
Having gathered all the participants, the experience will begin with the milking of the goats: we will witness the milking of the goats by hand and mechanically; and that's not all: we will be able to experience the thrill of milking in person!
Next we will meet and care for the farm animals: goats, chickens and ducks. We will feed them, collect and lay eggs. Depending on the season, our day could continue with harvesting vegetables from the garden, cleaning the manger or nursing kids.
And now it's time to take off the farmer's shoes and put on the gourmet's at a goat's cheese tasting: we'll sample mature cheeses from a buffet accompanied by a glass of local wine.
The experience will end at around 11.30 a.m. and will last a total of around 3½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone regardless of age. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The facility is wheelchair accessible. If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
