What we will do
The appointment is 10 minutes before 09:30 at the meeting point onGiglio Island (GR). We will be welcomed by thediving instructor who will guide us on this first dive!
The experience will begin on site, with the viewing of a 30-minute themed video; this will be followed by a first theoretical lesson on diving and a second theoretical lesson on the exercises to be practised in the water in preparation for the dive.
We will then put on our equipment and get into an inflatable boat to head to a nearby "natural pool" where our 30-minute confined water dive will take place: we will position ourselves on our knees on the seabed, at a maximum depth of 2 metres, and put into practice the exercises we have just learnt. We will perform the exercises one at a time under the supervision of the instructor, who will give us corrections and advice.
And here we are ready to venture out into the open sea, for our 30-minute open water dive : we will dive autonomously to a maximum depth of 12 metres, always under the supervision of the instructor , who will be close by and ready to give us support.
We will then return to the meeting point. The activity will last 4 hours; the total experience will last 5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 10 years of age and above; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at the meeting point to sign the release form.
The activity is suitable for people with motor disabilities who are not in wheelchairs; the organiser is a diving instructor for the disabled. Please contact us to submit your booking request and check if it is possible.
The experience is forbidden for people with respiratory and/or circulatory diseases.
Other information
Attention! In the event that weather conditions do not allow for an outing in an inflatable boat, the entire experience will take place from land.
The experience takes place from June to September.
There is paid parking in the vicinity of the meeting point. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Thetime of the experience may vary at the discretion of the instructor. The total duration of the experience may vary depending on the number of participants.
There is no changing room on site, but there is a toilet and an outdoor shower.
The 'Discover Scuba Diving' course grants 1 credit for the PADIScuba Diver and/orPADI Open Water Diver course. The credit is valid for 1 year and can be used worldwide to continue cultivating one's diving passion.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
