Up early? For one reason only: as the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm!
With your 3½-hour ‘baptism of the sea’ in Cattolica, you’ll dive into the Adriatic Sea at the first light of dawn to learn how to breathe underwater and admire the seabed whilst the world is still asleep (not the underwater world, of course) .
The day begins with a dip – literally – but also with a tasty breakfast overlooking the sea.
What we will do
We’ll meet 10 minutes before the time selected when booking at the port of Cattolica (RN) to set sail on a yacht towards the San Bartolo Nature Park.
First, we’ll recharge our batteries with a hearty breakfast of sweet and savoury dishes, which we’ll enjoy whilst watching the spectacular sunrise. Then we’ll get kitted out and begin our briefing, which will explain how to use the tanks and how to breathe and equalise underwater.
We’ll then begin our descent to a maximum depth of 5 metres for a duration of 30–40 minutes to put the techniques we’ve learnt into practice and try to spot the local marine life, including crabs, stingrays, sardines, cuttlefish, mullet, mullet and, at certain times of year, even dolphins, anemones and nudibranchs.
We’ll return to the starting point after 3 hours and 30 minutes of diving.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for those aged 10 and over; for younger children, a consent form signed by their parents is required.
To take part, you must be in good health. The activity is strongly discouraged for pregnant women and people with epilepsy or diabetes. Furthermore, it is not permitted for anyone who has undergone surgery in the last 6 months.
Other information
Dives take place every day from May to September.
The meeting point can be reached by car (free and paid parking available on site) or by public transport, just a 10-minute walk away.
On board there are showers for washing and private toilets; the boat also has changing areas and storage space for your personal belongings.
Scuba diving is not recommended within 24 hours of a flight.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
