If you too think that fishing is one of the most fascinating activities to do at sea, then maybe it's time to embark on this new adventure!
In a half-day outing, you will discover how a fisherman approaches the sea with his most important tools: a fishing boat, a net, an eye and a lot of patience.
Don't forget to take a swim in the warm zone of Santa Lucia before having a Sicilian-flavoured aperitif!
What we will do
We will meet 20 minutes before departure at the port of Cefalù. The crew will welcome us and take us on board the fishing boat.
We will make the acquaintance of an experienced fisherman, who will give us some tips of the trade with an illustrative fishing lesson, where he will fish and we will admire his skill.
Around 9 a.m. we will cast off our moorings and head to the fishing area, listening to the captain's tales of Sicily. Having stopped the boat, we will be told about the work of the fisherman, the secrets of the sea and how to look for fish in these boundless waters.
We will haulup the nets lowered the day before by the fisherman and, once thenets have been cleaned and the catch collected, we will head to the Santa Lucia area for a bathing stop of about two hours. Back on board, an excellent aperitif with bruschetta of various flavours, snacks and a glass of local white wine, beer or a soft drink will be waiting for us.
Around 13.00, when the sun is high, we will return to the port of Cefalù. The experience will last about four hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is for everyone and has no age limit.
The boat is not wheelchair accessible.

The activity takes place daily from May to October, and is confirmed with a minimum of 4 participants.
The boat used is a 9.5-metre fishing boat with a canopy and no toilet. Food and drinks are not allowed on board.
Dogs are welcome if small and medium-sized.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
