When you’re not sure what to catch, it’s time to learn how to fish!
Enjoy this experience in Monopoli alongside a true sea dog and learn all the secrets of bottom fishing, to lure sea bream, gilthead sea bream and other species typical of the Adriatic Sea onto your hook.
At dawn, set sail for three and a half hours in search of the best fishing grounds and round off this adventure with a delicious breakfast!
What we will do
We’ll meet 15 minutes before the time specified at the time of booking in Monopoli (BA). There, we’ll be met by Domenico, the skipper and fisherman, who’ll welcome us aboard his boat.
We’ll set sail from Monopoli and head out to the shallows and the seabed areas best suited to bottom fishing. After about 30 minutes’ sailing, we’ll stop at a spot chosen by the skipper and, under his guidance, we’ll learn how to use the fishing rod and bait ( included) to put our skills to the test.
With our eyes fixed on the horizon, we’ll wait patiently for the fish to take the bait: sea bream, gilthead sea bream and other species typical of the Adriatic Sea. To ensure a bountiful catch, we’ll continue to move the boat to the best fishing spots.
On board, we’ll also be offered breakfast ( included) , to enjoy whilst we wait for a bite. If we manage to catch any fish, we can choose to take them home with us or leave them as a ‘gift’ for the skipper.
After about 3 hours of fishing, we’ll begin our return journey to Monopoli, where, at the end of the tour, we’ll receive a souvenir memento of this experience.
The total duration of the activity will be around three and a half hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the tour.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible, but persons with reduced mobility can be assisted in boarding if required.
Other information
The tour runs from May to October and is confirmed subject to a minimum of two participants.
The vessel used is a modernised 7-metre fishing boat , with a large shaded area, seating and toilet facilities. You may keep your shoes on whilst on board.
If you have any food allergies or intolerances, no alternative breakfast options are available.
Small dogs are welcome on board.
The meeting point is accessible by public transport; there are free and paid car parks on site.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
