Helicopter flight over Etna

You know your favourite film, the one you wish would never end? Well, the same thing happens to us when faced with the spectacle of Mount Etna.

That is why we offer you the longest helicopter flight over Mount Etna in existence. In the company of a professional pilot and other participants, you will fly over the scenic volcanic landscape for 30 minutes.

An experience lasting 1 hour in total, forever in your heart!

What we will do

I will be waiting for you 15 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia (CT). To welcome you with a welcome drink (included) will be me, your pilot!

Once all the participants have gathered, I will hold a briefing of about 10 minutes during which I will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy this experience without worries. Finally, it will be time to board theAS 350 helicopter and begin our flight over Mount Etna!

After take-off, we will fly to the northern slope of the volcano above the municipalities of Piedimonte Etneo and Linguaglossa; we will ascend in altitude and admire the natural setting, which consists of a coniferous forest and lava flows. We will then arrive at the Piano Provenzana ski resort, surrounded by the 2002 lava flows that gave rise to the series of craters known as the'bottoniera'.

We will then follow the sciara di fuoco that will lead us to the 4 summit craters, at an altitude of 3,500 metres: from up here we will be able to see the Aeolian Islands and Calabria! We will then descend along the wilder side of the volcano to the Etna Sud ski resort and the Rifugio Sapienza, with a view of the Gulf of Catania.

We will proceed eastwards, flying over the Silvestri craters and the so-called'Schiena dell'Asino', over the Valle del Bove. We will then admire the lava flows that grazed Zafferana Etnea before greeting the coastline connecting Catania to Taormina in the distance, decorated with vineyards and crops.

We will land at the meeting point after a 30-minute flight; the exclusive experience will last 1 hour in total.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is suitable for everyone from 4 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

A maximum weight of 105 kg is allowed to participate in this activity.

The helicopter is wheelchair-accessible; please contact the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email for on-site support.

The experience is not recommended for pregnant women and people with heart problems.

Attention! The helicopter flight is an experience strictly dependent on weather conditions, which may change even shortly before the selected time; it will be the organiser's responsibility to assess the feasibility of the activity.

The experience is available from March to October and is confirmed upon reaching a minimum number of 4 participants.

The experience takes place subject to weather and wind conditions at the organiser's discretion.

There is ample private and secure parking on site.

Any accompanying persons may stay at the shaded relaxation area.

The following services are available on site: bar, cafeteria, restaurant, snacks, wine cellar, swimming pool and solarium.

Dogs are not allowed.
