Have you ever seen Gallipoli from above, suspended between the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea?
Climb aboard aCessna 172 aircraft and enjoy a panoramic flight of around 40 minutes that will let you discover the pearl of the Ionian Sea from an unforgettable perspective. You will take off from Melpignano, in the heart of Salento, and fly over golden beaches, endless countryside and the historic centre of Gallipoli surrounded by the turquoise sea.
Get your camera ready: every moment of this flight will be a memory to cherish forever!
What we will do
The appointment is at theMelpignano (LE) airfield, at the time selected during the booking process. The pilot will welcome you and your small group and introduce you to the fascinating world of aviation: you will learn more about the operation of the aircraft and the safety procedures to be adopted on board.
Afterwards, you will board theCessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft, a single-engine, 4-seater high-wing aircraft. You will take your seat next to the pilot, in front of the control panel, while you will be shown the controls and basic procedures. Your companions can instead sit in the back seats and still enjoy theincredible view.
Off you go! During take-off you will feel your pulse quicken. We will fly over Gallipoli, with its historic centre surrounded by the sea and golden beaches. The flight will last about 35-40 minutes, giving you an incredible view of the surrounding landscapes: the Salento hinterland, the countryside, and the deep blue Ionian Sea.
During the experience you will have plenty of time to take photos and videos with your mobile phone. At the end of the flight, we will land at the starting point for the final debriefing, where you can share your emotions and take a few more souvenir photos together with your group or team.
Between preparation and flight, the experience lasts about 1 hour in total.

The experience is suitable for everyone from the age of 14. Minors must be accompanied on the plane by a parent or responsible adult.

The meeting point is not easily accessible by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed-date booking and the weather conditions are not suitable for safely carrying out the activity (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be fully refunded. The guide may offer you an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to accept or decline these proposals. If you cannot reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
