The best viewpoint in Abruzzo has no railings or benches: it has wings.
Climb aboard a plane with a maximum capacity of 3 passengers for an incredible 30-minute introductory flight!
You will fly over L'Aquila and Lake Campotosto with a flight instructor who will show you how to manoeuvre an aeroplane up close. And you will discover how great it is to have the most exclusive view in the region.
What we will do
The meeting point is the flight school at thePreturo Park Airport in L'Aquila. Here you will be welcomed by theflight instructor, who will give you a tour of the facility and the hangar. He will also show you the basic parts of the aircraft and how the cockpit works.
Then it will be time to board the Robin DR 400, a tourist aircraft that is perfect for scenic flights thanks to its large cabin and spectacular views. Alternatively, you can also fly in a Piper PA-28 or a Maule, which are equally safe and comfortable.
Once you take off, your introductory flight in the skies over Abruzzo will begin: you will see from above the city of L'Aquila, the outline of the Gran Sasso and, if the sky is clear, Lake Campotosto shimmering between the mountains. The instructor will give you an all-round experience, demonstrating basic manoeuvres and experiencing the magic of flight up close.
After about 30 minutes of flying, we will return to the starting point with a soft landing. At the end of the experience aBaptism of the Air Certificate will be issued!
In total, between briefing, preparations and flight, the experience will last about 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is open to all, with no age limit. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
The flight is accessible to people with motor disabilities; it is not suitable for those suffering from heart, vascular or respiratory diseases.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
