Tandem paragliding flight over the Bolognese Apennines

Experience the thrill of a tandem paragliding flight and fly over theBolognese Apennines, admiring from above the marvellous territory on the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.

Taking off from the top of Monte Piella, a fantastic view of lush forests of fir, chestnut and beech trees will open up before your eyes and you will be able to breathe in all the charm of nature from a truly special perspective!

Flying together with an experienced pilot, you will carry out the activity in complete safety: comfortably seated, all you have to do is enjoy the flight from take-off to landing.

What we will do

We will be in the municipality of Alto Reno Terme (BO), where Monte Piella (1,198 m) rises, which will be our take-off point. Alternatively - when wind conditions are not favourable at this point - the pilot may decide to fly to Gaggio Montano, a few kilometres away, also in theBolognese Apennines.

Before taking off, we will have a detailed briefing on how the paraglider works and on safety regulations. Then we will harness up and, firmly attached to the pilot, we will take a short run-up that will allow us to detach ourselves from the ground to fly propelled by the ascending currents.

The scenic flight will last between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the winds of the day. We will fly over a natural area characterised by lush nature and small, characteristic villages emerging from the greenery. The paraglider will gradually lose altitude until a soft landing in the valley.

Finally, we will have the opportunity to request videos and photos of the experience (optional).

In total, the activity will last about 1.30 hours.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an easy level and suitable for everyone from 10 years old and up. There is no need for experience or special physical skills and a body weight between 35 and 95 kg for men and between 40 and 85 kg for women.

Minors must present written and signed parental consent. If consent is not provided, the guide will not allow participation and the activity will not be reimbursed.

Other information

Attention! Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the start time of the activity.

The activity takes place from April to October. Depending on weather and wind conditions, the take-off area and time may change. In this case you will be informed promptly by the pilot.

It is forbidden to hold mobile phones and cameras during the flight due to the risk of them falling.

It is possible to request professional videos and photos of the experience, at a cost of 25€ to be paid on site.

Transport to take-off or recovery on landing will be organised as required by the pilot's or participants' means. To get to the meeting point, however, no transfer is foreseen; it is necessary to be self-drive.
