Full description
Are you a flying enthusiast or have you always had the dream of flying in your drawer? Either way, you absolutely cannot miss the magnificent panorama of the Gulf of Policastro from above with a free flight on a tandem paraglider.
You will fly in tandem with an expert instructor, taking off from a sea-facing high ground and landing gently on Acquafredda beach. In flight, all you have to do is enjoy the thrill and lose yourself in the deep blue.
You will admire the coast of Maratea and its silvery waters from above, travelling carried by the wind. During the descent you will experience the sensation of being supported by the ascending currents and feel free with a seagull.
What we will do
We will meet on the beach of Acquafredda di Maratea, in the province of Potenza. From there, we will move with the instructor to the take-off point, a hill overlooking the Gulf of Policastro. Once there, we will have a briefing on how to fly in comfort and safety.
In order to take off, all we will have to do is run downhill, and the wind will do the rest, supporting us with its upward currents and ensuring a slow, gentle and gradual descent. We will spend 15 to 20 minutes in the air and will have to rely completely on our instructor without worrying about anything except enjoying the moment and capturing the spectacle.
The activity will last about 2 hours in total, at the end of which you will be given a video souvenir of the flight. The landing will take place softly on the beach at Acquafredda and we can immediately afterwards dive into the sea for a nice, refreshing swim!
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to everyone from 12 years old and up. No experience is required and you must have a body weight between 40 and 100kg.
Pregnant women and people recovering from surgery cannot participate. Minors must have signed authorisation from both parents.

Attention! Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.
The activity takes place from October to May.
The paragliding flight is closely related to weather conditions and may be subject to time variations or may even be cancelled at the take-off point, at the instructor's sole discretion. The timetables established at the time of booking may also be shifted by a few hours if the currents are not optimal.
