Full description
On Monte San Vigilio a tandem paragliding flight awaits you as you float above forests, valleys and small South Tyrolean villages, with the wind in your hair and Bolzano on the horizon.
You will fly for about 20 minutes in the company of an experienced pilot, comfortably seated in the harness while enjoying the view from a new perspective.
And if you think that this is only for daredevils and super athletes... know that you can also fly from the age of 4. So yes, it 's time to tick 'flying' off your wish list.
What we will do
You will meet the pilot at the meeting point in Lana (BZ), from where you will take the Monte San Vigilio cable car (ticket not included). In just 6 minutes you will reach the station at an altitude of approximately 1500 m, and from there it is a short and pleasant walk of about 5 minutes to the take-off point.
Here the pilot will help you put on the harness and in a short briefing explain how the paraglider works, what to do at take-off and during the flight. Don't worry: the pilot will be with you the whole time, guiding you step by step.
Then comes the magic moment. A few steps, the paraglider inflates, you feel the wind lift you up... and you are airborne. You will admire the town of Lana from above, see Val d'Ultimo and - on clear days - even Bolzano. If conditions permit, you can also try manoeuvring the paraglider for a few seconds under the expert guidance of the pilot.
After about 15-20 minutes of flight you will begin your descent towards the landing, which will be gentle and controlled: just lift your legs slightly and let yourself be brought down to the ground. At the end, the pilot will take you back to the starting point in an organiser's vehicle (included).
Between transfer, preparation and flight, the experience lasts about 1.5 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 4 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on site by a parent or guardian.
To participate, you must not exceed 120 kg in weight. No experience is required; it is sufficient to have a minimum of mobility to take off with the pilot.
In paragliding, there is no feeling of vertigo.
Other information
The activity takes place all year round.
On request, you can have photos and video of your experience taken by the pilot. The extra cost is 25€ (to be paid on site).
The ticket for the cable car (one-way approx. 15€) is not included in the fee; you can buy it online or on site on the day of the activity. For further information on this, please contact the pilot (you will receive contact details by e-mail with your booking confirmation).
Would you like to enjoy the experience with your partner or friend? Simultaneous flying is available for up to 2 people, each with their own pilot. To request this, please contact the pilot at the contact details sent to you by e-mail with your booking confirmation.
Any accompanying persons can wait at the meeting point and watch the paraglider land from the ground.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; there is a pay car park on site (6€). Alternatively, you can come to the landing site, where there is free parking.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours from the activity start. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
