Full description
Fly in a two-seater paraglider over the Strait of Messina and admire the sea strip separating Sicily from peninsular Italy from above.
Taking off from Scilla, in the province of Reggio Calabria, your gaze will reach as far as the Messina coastline and you will have anexciting experience that you will remember forever!
To fly a paraglider, you don't need any special preparation: you will just have to rely on the updrafts and the expert pilot who will provide for your safety.
What we will do
The meeting point with the pilot will be either near Scilla (RC ) or - depending on wind conditions - in Bagnara Calabra, also on the Calabrian coast near the Strait of Messina.
Once on the take-off platform, the pilot will explain in detail the operating principles of the paraglider and provide you with all the instructions you need to fly in comfort and safety. Then you will put on your helmet and harness and, firmly attached to each other, you will be ready to take flight.
All it takes is a few running steps and in no time you will find yourself suspended in the air, flying with the support of the updrafts. The duration of the paragliding flight depends on the intensity of the wind and in the best cases can exceed 30 minutes.
During the descent, you won't have to think about anything except enjoying the magnificent coastal landscape until the soft landing on the beach.
In total, the activity will last about 1 hour and will end with the return to the initial meeting point.
Who it is aimed at
Tandem paragliding does not require any specific skills or experience. It can be performed by anyone in good physical condition and weighing between 30 and 130 kg.
Pregnant women cannot fly. For disabled persons, conditions will need to be assessed on a case-by-case basis (contact us privately for more information).

This activity can be carried out all year round, weather permitting.
Paragliding is an activity closely linked to weather and wind conditions. The day before the planned date, after carefully evaluating the forecast, the pilot will send you a confirmation on the feasibility of the flight, also informing you of themeeting address.
Even when the chosen time is confirmed, it may vary depending on weather and wind conditions. The pilot will contact you the day before to tell you the exact time to meet.
Take-off transport or landing recovery - depending on the flying location - will be organised as needed with the pilot's or participants' own means.
The activity takes place in tourist locations of great natural beauty. Non-flying companions are welcome at the take-off point, where they can enjoy some relaxation and watch the flight.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
