Full description
Have you ever seen this film? An exclusive plane, landing on a private run way just a few steps from the sea.
No, and in fact this is not a film but our scenic flight to Caronia: not only will you fly over the main attractions of the Tyrrhenian coast but you will land on a private runway with access to a secret beach. And if the temperatures allow, you can even go for a swim!
The flight will last about one and a half hours, just like your next favourite film.
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Calatabiano (CT). To welcome you there will be me, your pilot!
Upon your arrival, I will show you my general aviation aircraft, reserved for you for the occasion. It is a comfortable aircraft, with three passenger seats, equipped with heating. You will be able to tell that you have flown in a'Mercedes with wings'! During a briefing I will explain to you how to behave in the air, e.g. what you should do in case we make radio contact with aeronautical stations.
And here we are ready for take-off: we will fly in the vicinity of Mount Etna and then descend towards the Bove Valley and the Tyrrhenian coast. We will also fly over the Tindari Sanctuary, Porto Milazzo and Portorosa; the Aeolian Islands will greet us on the horizon. Halfway through the experience, we will land in Caronia, along a private runway that is only 30 metres from the sea. We will disembark and walk to the characteristic pebble beach, to enjoy a break of about 30 minutes in this secret natural setting. When temperatures allow, it will even be possible to swim!
We will return on board to return to the meeting point, where I will give a debriefing on the activity. The flight will last about 1.5 hours; the experience will last about 2.5 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children aged between 0 and 2 years participate free of charge in the arms of an adult but must report their presence on board by contacting the pilot at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must have signed authorisation from an adult.
The aircraft is accessible to people with motor disabilities: contact the pilot at the references indicated in the booking confirmation e-mail to report their presence and request boarding support.
Other information
Caution! Flying by plane is an activity that is strictly dependent on weather conditions. The pilot will contact you 48 or 24 hours before the time of the experience to communicate feasibility and possible flight time after checking the weather report.
The experience is available from January to December.
An alternative meeting point is available at Catania Airport; please contact the pilot at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate your preferred meeting point and any availability.
Dogs in carriers can take part in the experience; small dogs being held by their owner participate free of charge while medium-large dogs occupying a seat on board pay the cost of one person participating.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
