Full description
We bet you have never seen the volcano Stromboli from up here.
And indeed, to fly over it you need a special permit, which our pilot has. You will board his aircraft, reserved for you and your group for the occasion: you will fly over the Aeolian Islands archipelago and the Tindari Sanctuary.
The flight will last approximately 2 hours and will give you a unique perspective on this corner of Sicily!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Calatabiano (CT). To welcome you there will be me, your pilot!
Upon your arrival, I will introduce you to my general aviation aircraft, reserved for you for the occasion. It is a comfortable aircraft, with three passenger seats, equipped with heating; I like to call it a'Mercedes with wings'!
During a briefing, I will then provide you with all the information you need to enjoy this experience without any worries: I will explain to you how to behave in the air, for example what you should do in case we make radio contact with aeronautical stations.
Once on board, we will proceed with the take-off: we will fly to the Aeolian Islands, which we will fly over at medium-low altitude. Thanks to a special permit, we will also be able to fly over the Stromboli volcano at a higher altitude and admire the sciara di fuoco! On the way back, we will fly over the Tindari Sanctuary: we will spot the famous tongue of sand, protagonist of the legend.
We will finally return to the meeting point, where we will hold a debriefing on the activity. The flight will last about 2 hours; the experience will last about 2½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children aged between 0 and 2 years participate free of charge in the arms of an adult but must report their presence on board by contacting the pilot at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must have signed authorisation from an adult.
The aircraft is accessible to people with motor disabilities: contact the pilot at the references indicated in the booking confirmation e-mail to report their presence and request boarding support.
Other information
Caution! Flying by air is an activity that is strictly dependent on weather conditions. The pilot will contact you 48 or 24 hours before the time of the experience to communicate feasibility and possible flight time after checking the weather report.
The experience is available from January to December.
An alternative meeting point is available at Catania Airport; please contact the pilot at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate your preferred meeting point and any availability.
Dogs in carriers can take part in the experience; small dogs being held by their owner participate free of charge while medium-large dogs occupying a seat on board pay the cost of one person participating.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
