Prepare to board a'Mercedes with wings'.
This is the nickname the pilot has given his general aviation aircraft, reserved for you for the occasion! In about 1½ hours of flight time, you will sight the Bove Valley, the craters of Mount Etna and the city of Taormina.
Experience the unique thrill of a private plane flight and see Sicily as never before!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you at the selected time at the meeting point in Calatabiano (CT). To welcome you there will be me, your pilot!
Upon your arrival, I will not fail to introduce you to the real protagonist of the day: a general aviation aircraft with three passenger seats. It is a comfortable aircraft, equipped with heating; I like to call it a'Mercedes with wings'!
I will then hold a briefing during which I will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy this experience without any worries: I will explain how to behave during the flight, for example what you should do in case we come into radio contact with aeronautical stations.
Once on board, we will prepare for take-off. We will fly over the Valle del Bove valley and the villages of Linguaglossa and Piano Provenzana as we venture onto Mount Etna: we will fly over the Silvestri craters, the central craters, and the new mouths until we reach an altitude of 3,300 metres. We will greet Taormina from above and spot the Aeolian Islands, Calabria and southern Sicily on the horizon if the sky is clear. And yes, you will be able to take photos in the air!
We will finally return to the meeting point, where I will give a debriefing on the activity. The flight will last about 1½ hours; the experience will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone with no age limit; children aged between 0 and 2 years participate free of charge in the arms of an adult but must report their presence on board by contacting the pilot at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 must have signed authorisation from an adult.
The aircraft is accessible to people with motor disabilities: contact the pilot at the references indicated in the booking confirmation e-mail to report your presence and request boarding support.
Other information
Caution! Flying by plane is an activity that is strictly dependent on weather conditions. The pilot will contact you 48 or 24 hours before the time of the experience to communicate feasibility and possible flight time after checking the weather report.
The experience is available from January to December.
An alternative meeting point is available at Catania Airport; please contact the pilot at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to communicate your preferred meeting point and any availability.
Dogs in carriers can take part in the experience; small dogs being held by their owner participate free of charge while medium-large dogs occupying a seat on board pay the cost of one person participating.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
