Matera is breathtakingly beautiful. But seen from above it is simply unforgettable.
Aboard a private plane, with a dedicated pilot and co-pilot, you'll fly over the Sassi di Matera, the Gravina Canyon and more, gliding just 500 metres above the ground. And the best thing? You can customise the itinerary. Want to add Polignano, Alberobello or Castel del Monte? Just ask the pilot.
It's the perfect adventure to celebrate big or just see Matera... as you've never seen it.
What we will do
We will meet atBari International Airport, at the time selected during the booking process.
After a welcome briefing and some trivia on the rules of flying (in a nice tone, nothing boring!), we will board a 7-seat Piper PA-32, with pilot and co-pilot.
We will fly low over Gravina, Matera and its canyon, passing close to the Sassi, and then explore - on request - other pearls of the area such as Polignano, Alberobello, the San Giuliano Dam or Castel del Monte.
During the approximately 60-minute flight, the captain will recount curiosities and history of the territories flown over, making the experience even richer and more engaging.
The overall experience will last about 2 hours, including preparation and time on board, and ends with the return to the starting point.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone, with no age limit. Only a minimum of mobility is required to board the aircraft; it is therefore not wheelchair accessible.
The flight can accommodate up to 5 passengers, with a maximum total weight of 400 kg.

The experience is available all year round.
You will be on board a 7-seat Piper PA-32 aircraft (including pilot and co-pilot), designed for comfort and safety during scenic and private flights. Equipped with a spacious cabin and individual side-by-side seats, it offers an excellent view for both front and rear passengers. Thanks to its stable and reliable structure, it is perfect for low-altitude flights, allowing the landscape below to be enjoyed to the full.
The Piper PA-32 is not equipped with an on-board toilet, so it is advisable to use the facilities available at the airport before take-off.
Small dogs are allowed on board as long as they remain in their carriers.
You can request a dedicated photo service (not included), or take photos and videos freely during the flight.
The meeting point is also easily accessible by public transport and has ample parking facilities.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
