Full description
Experience the thrill of a free paragliding flight in one of Italy's best-loved areas for enthusiasts and professionals in the discipline, theApennines near Modena, with its panoramas characterised by mountains, woods and characteristic villages.
You will fly in tandem with pilots from the World Cup circuit, who have made their passion for flying a profession and provide patents, insurance, and all their expertise.
Paragliding exploits the ascending wind currents, which support the craft and gradually accompany its descent to a soft landing. Everything else will be pure wonder!
What we will do
The experience will take place in the province of Modena, with two possible flying areas, Sestola and Monfestino, about 40 km apart. Depending on the time of year and weather and wind conditions, the pilot will choose one of the two take-off points, informing you in advance of the precise address of the meeting place.
If you fly to Sestola, you will admire the slopes of the superb Mount Cimone from above in a mountain scenery of prime beauty. This area, thanks to its favourable aerological conditions and wide take-off area, is home to international paragliding competitions. The location of Monfestino Serramazzoni, on the other hand, is characteristic because you fly over a medieval village dominated by an imposing castle and the surrounding green hills.
Once you and your pilot arrive at the take-off point, you will be given all the instructions and rules of behaviour to fly in comfort and safety. Having prepared yourequipment and securely harnessed yourself onto the tandem paraglider, it will only take a few steps downhill to be airborne. The take-off is really magic, you won't even realise you've lifted your feet off the ground!
The flight takes between 15 and 20 minutes depending on wind conditions and ends with a soft landing on level ground. Taking into account preparation and travel time to/from the meeting point, the activity can last a total of 2 hours.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to anyone in good health with a body weight between 30 and 100 kg. No special experience or skills are required. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs (we have solutions for flying for the disabled. Contact us for more information).
Minors may also participate, with written permission signed by their parents.
Other information
Paragliding is closely linked to weather and wind conditions. It can be booked and carried out all year round, but will only be confirmed if weather conditions are compatible with maximum safety for participants.
The meeting point and flight time may vary depending on the period and weather, but will always be in the province of Modena, in the area between Sestola and Monfestino Serramazzoni.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
