Since my teenage years, flying has tickled my fancy to the point that I tried to build a prototype aircraft. Of course, the experimentation did not go well. In 1991 I enrolled in a hang gliding course and from there it was a continuous crescendo of experiences that led me to 6 VDS flight ratings.

Enjoy a paragliding flight over one of the most fascinating areas ofinland Sicily, the Platani Valley, between the provinces of Agrigento and Caltanissetta, an area rich in nature and steeped in mythological legends dating back toAncient Greece.
Rely on an experienced pilot, let yourself be carried away by the ascending currents, and savour every minute of this incredible experience!
Comfortably seated, you will admire a true panoramic spectacle characterised by the variety and colours of the Mediterranean vegetation.
What we will do
We will meet along the SS189, straddling the provinces of Agrigento and Caltanissetta, in the area known as the Platani Valley, named after the river that flows through it. Together with the pilot, we will reach the take-off point at Passu Funnutu, located at an altitude of approximately 500 metres.
After an introductory briefing on the flight, in which we will be given all the instructions on how to best tackle the experience, we will harness up and prepare for take-off. It will only take a few steps downhill, a short run, and we will take to the air by joining the flow of the updrafts.
We will fly over anatural area rich in biodiversity and native flora and fauna. According to Greek mythology, this area was home to Daedalus and his son Icarus after their daring escape from the labyrinth of Cnosse.
The scenic flight will last about 15-20 minutes and will end with a soft landing near the initial meeting point. If the weather conditions are particularly favourable, the pilot will let us take the controls of the paraglider, for even more adrenalin-pumping sensations!
In total, the activity will last about 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
Tandem paragliding is an activity within everyone's reach and requires no special skills or preparation. All you need is to be in good health, able to take a few steps and weigh between 40 and 90 kg.

This activity can be done all year round, depending on weather and wind conditions.
Normally, you fly at this location about 2 hours before sunset, at times that vary depending on the time of year and which will be confirmed to you after booking.
The participation fee includes a video of the experience.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
