Full description
Experience the thrill of a free paragliding flight and admire from above the splendid views of the Apuan Alps and Lake Massaciuccoli, in the province of Lucca.
You will fly tandem with pilots from the World Cup circuit, who have made their passion for flying a profession and provide patents, insurance, and all their expertise.
You will fly supported by the ascending wind currents and all you have to do is enjoy the wonderful landscape below and the enormous sense of lightness and freedom that only those who dare to detach themselves from the earth can feel.
What we will do
The activity takes place in the province of Lucca, an area that offers various possibilities for paragliding flights. Depending on the time of year and the weather and wind conditions, the pilot will choose the best take-off point, which may be inland in the Apuan Alps Park or closer to the coast, near Lake Massaciuccoli. In any case, the spectacle is assured; from the top of the paraglider, it will be the verdant Tuscan nature that will dominate.
Once you reach the flying area, the instructor will give you all the instructions you need to follow to fly in comfort and safety. Having prepared your equipment and firmly tied to each other by theharness, you will be ready for the tandem flight. All it takes is a few steps downhill and, in no time at all, you will be taking off thanks to the updrafts.
Once you take off, you will have plenty of time to admire and photograph the landscape. The flight takes between 15 and 20 minutes, depending on wind conditions, and ends with a soft landing on level ground. Including travel time, the activity can last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level and is open to anyone in good health with a body weight between 30 and 100 kg.
No special experience or skills are required. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and those with mobility problems in their lower limbs (we have solutions for flying for the disabled. Contact us for more information).
Minors may also participate, with written permission signed by their parents.
Other information
Paragliding is closely linked to weather and wind conditions. It can be booked and carried out all year round, but will only be confirmed if the weather conditions are compatible with maximum safety for participants.
The meeting and take-off location varies depending on the period and weather, but will always be in the province of Lucca, in the area between the Apuan Alps Park and Lake Massaciuccoli.
Please note: contact the pilot 2 days before the time chosen for the activity at the references you will find in the booking email to receive confirmation of the time and meeting point.
You can request photos and videos of the experience directly from the pilot at an extra cost of 20€ (payable locally).

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
