Full description
Get in touch with nature by cycling along the unique itineraries of theAlto Garda area and enjoy a day of environment, local traditions, and marvellous landscapes.
This Alto Garda bike tour will take you to discover a land kissed by nature, which man has skilfully exploited and enhanced, giving rise to a first-class wine and food tradition and to a slow and eco-sustainable tourism.
Pedalling peacefully together with a local guide, you will venture among unforgettable views, picturesque villages and evocative paths little travelled by tourists.
Along the way, you will sample local flavours with a double tasting: fine wine, craft beer and many local products. Hands on the handlebars and feet on the pedals, here we go!
What we will do
The meeting point for the bike tour is on the lakeside in Cavedine (TN). From here, after checking equipment and bikes, we will set off towards the Alto Garda plain, in the direction of the village of Arco. The first stop along our route will be theHermitage of San Paolo.
This is a small church leaning against the rock, particular for its panoramic position and its frescoes of ancient origin. We will then continue in the direction of Dro, stopping at the historic Roman Bridge, from which we can experience the thrill of a dip in the Sarca river, which flows below.
Once in Dro we will ride around the historic centre and then venture into the surrounding countryside towards the first refreshment stop of the itinerary and, after tasting the excellent craft beer accompanied by snacks, we will return to cycling along quiet paths and cycle tracks surrounded by greenery.
The next stop on the food and wine bike tour will be at a wine bar, where we will enjoy the best local wine along with cold cuts and cheeses from local farms.
After about four hours and about thirty kilometres by bike, we will return to Cavedine. There our tour of flavours and nature will come to an end and we will say goodbye, happy to have spent half a day in total relaxation and tranquillity.
