Spend awhole day of fun and discovery with this quad bike tour to Cala Sisine, one of the pearls of Sardinia.
You will immerse yourself in the natural beauty of theGolgo plateau and can stop at the beach for a couple of hours to relax and sunbathe. The lido of Cala Sisine will amaze you with its high mountains sloping steeply down to the sea, the flourishing Mediterranean maquis and its emerald-blue colours.
You will then get to know Contralba and Santa Maria Navarrese in central-eastern Sardinia, renowned for its spectacular coastline and fascinating history. Start your engines, here we go!
What we will do
I, your guide, will be waiting for you at the meeting point in Tortolì, in the province of Nuoro. After a briefing of about half an hour, we will set off on a quad bike and proceed towards theGolgo plateau, in the Supramonte of Baunei.
We will then drive in the direction of Cala Sisine and, before arriving at the beach, leave the vehicles in a car park. We will follow a 2 km flat footpath that will lead us to one of the most famous coves in the municipality of Baunei, within the beautiful Gulf of Orosei.
Cala Sisine is characterised by a sandy shore of small, light-coloured polished pebbles, between white and pinkish, and a clear sea rich in polychromes ranging from blue to emerald green.
We will stop here for about two hours to swim and have lunch. You can choose whether to eat a packed lunch, which you will have brought with you, or to stop at a refreshment point in the area. The beach is not equipped, but has some nice shady spots and beautiful caves.
After the stop, we will head back towards Tortolì. Depending on the group's level of preparedness, we will take a dirt or asphalt route, passing through Sa Contralba and Santa Maria Navarrese, just a few steps from the sea and pristine white beaches.
The tour lasts nine hours.
Who it is aimed at
The tour is open to everyone, from 10 years of age for passengers. The driver of the quad bike must be over 18 years of age and hold a B driving licence (or equivalent foreign driving licence).
Other information
The quad bike excursion is available from May to October and is confirmed when the minimum number of three quads is reached.
It is permitted to swap the driving of the quad bike as long as both drivers have a B licence. In this case, they must present the documents of both during registration.
The fee indicated refers to the quad bike. Each quad can carry two persons, a driver and a passenger. There are 4 quad bikes available, with a maximum total of 8 participants.
