Full description
Hire a 5.95 m gozzo boat for 6 passengers on the island of Giudecca and venture by sea into the maze of islands and islets of the Venice Lagoon.
You can hire the boat for half a day or thewhole day (to be chosen when booking) and drive it even without a licence.
Navigate with maximum safety thanks to the support of the staff through GPS and navigation tutors. The helm is yours!
What we will do
The meeting point is on the island of Giudecca (VE), 40 minutes before the time indicated during the booking process.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff to sign the rental contract and accompanied to the boat, which you will find ready in the water: a 5.95 m long and 2.15 m wide gozzo with a 20 HP inboard diesel engine, awning, cushions, sundeck, ladder, GPS tablet, observation tutor and nautical charts at your disposal.
A member of staff will show you the safety equipment and explain all the rules for navigation in the Venice Lagoon. Before departure you will do a test navigation near the pick-up point to learn how to moor, use the GPS and steer the boat.
Starting from the island of Giudecca, you can explore the northern part of the Venice Lagoon to admire the colourful islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello from the sea. Or you can sail to the lesser-known but equally enchanting islands of Certosa, Vignola, Sant 'Andrea and Sant'Erasmo.
Thanks to the observation tutor, the rental staff will be able to stay in contact with you throughout the trip, monitoring your position and providing assistance if necessary. The tablet with GPS navigator and water-resistant PVC charts will allow you to easily find your way around the lagoon and reach your desired destinations.
The rental will last 4 or 8 hours, to be chosen at the time of booking.
Who it is aimed at
You must be at least 18 years old tocharter and drive the boat . A boat licence is not required.
Passengers of all ages are allowed on board.
The boat is not wheelchair-accessible.
Other information
Rental is available from March to November, daily, and is intended for private groups of up to 6 people.
Please arrive at least 40 minutes before the time indicated in the booking.
Please note! It is not possible to enter the canals in the historic centre of Venice by boat.
The boat is a gozzo with a length of 5.95 m, width 2.15 m, 20 HP diesel engine, awning, cushions, sundeck, ladder and safety equipment. A GPS tablet, observation tutors to monitor the vessels on land and nautical charts are also provided.
Fuel is not included and will be payable upon return of the boat according to consumption.
A deposit of €500 in cash or pre-authorisation on the card is required when signing the rental agreement.
Dogs of all sizes are welcome on board.
The meeting point can be reached from Venice by vaporetto lines 2, 4.1 and 4.2.
