Do you want to learn to sail while having fun in the company? Discover sailing and live a team experience in the heart of Sardinia!
A group dinghy sailing lesson is waiting for you in the Gulf of Arzachena, a unique opportunity to approach this sport together with an experienced instructor. When booking, you can choose between a half-day or full-day course.
Hoist the sails and get ready to cast off your moorings a stone's throw from theMaddalena Archipelago!
What we will do
The meeting will be 15 minutes before the chosen time at Isuledda di Arzachena (SS).
Here we will meet our instructor, who will guide us through the preparation of the boats and explain the basics of dinghy sailing, a light and fast boat ideal for practising this sport.
Once on board, we will start working together as a crew, alternating in manoeuvres with the other members of the group. We will learn how to balance the boat using our body weight and how to manage the sails, while the instructor will teach us the dynamics of wind and current.
Framing our sailing adventure will be the splendour of the Gulf of Arzachena and theMaddalena Archipelago, right in front of the base.
If we choose the full day, we will have a break of about three hours between the two sailing sessions. We can opt for a packed lunch, a restaurant on site, or a meal prepared by the staff kitchen (not included, 15€ per person to be paid on site).
The activity will last half a day (3 hours) or a full day (9 hours with lunch break), depending on the option chosen when booking.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 6 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at the meeting point, but can do the activity on their own.
Good mobility and a minimum of water skills are required to participate.
Other information
The activity takes place from June to October and is confirmed with a minimum of three participants.
Lessons take place on dinghies from 4.5 metres to 5.2 metres in length, Caravels and Laser 16s. Each dinghy can accommodate 4 people plus the instructor.
Showers and toilets are available at the meeting point and any personal belongings can be left in the care of the staff.
For the full-day course, if you would like to have lunch in the organisers' kitchen, please send your request to the contact details given in your booking confirmation email, stating any food allergies or intolerances. The meal costs 15€ per person, payable locally.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; parking is available on site for a fee.
