Get on board a dinghy driven by an exceptional skipper!
Thanks to his past as a musician, he now gladdens the ears of passengers with unpublished stories about Caprera. All this during aone-day excursion to discover one of the most famous islands of theLa Maddalena Archipelago.
The call of the sea and exclamations of wonder will be your best 'concert' of the year!
What we will do
The rendezvous is 15 minutes before 10 a.m. at the meeting point in La Maddalena (SS). We will be welcomed by our skipper who will accompany us on this dinghy excursion to Caprera, the second largest island in theLa Maddalena Archipelago!
Once we have finished boarding all the passengers, we will set sail: the first stop will be Cala Coticcio, the spectacular beach also known as 'Little Tahiti' where we will stop for a swim. We will then continue on to Cala Brigantina, Cala Napoletana, Cala Garibaldi and other hidden coves.
We will continue our circumnavigation of the island, spotting the famous Testa di Polpo (Octopus's Head ) and then cross the Passo della Moneta, a thin stretch of sea connecting Caprera and La Maddalena characterised by very shallow waters. Along the way we will also admire the Punta Rossa Fortification and the Candeo Battery, dating back to the First World War.
We will also catch a glimpse of Garibaldi's House, once inhabited by the general and now completely immersed in the green Mediterranean maquis. During the navigation, we will be able to enjoy our packed lunch brought on board; during the day there will be at least 5 bathroom stops lasting 40 minutes each.
We will finally return to the meeting point. The experience will last a total of 7 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone without age limits; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult on board. Children aged 0 to 3 years participate free of charge: contact the skipper at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email to indicate their presence on board.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchairs and people with mobility problems.
Other information
The experience takes place from May to October.
Theboat is a 5.50 m long Seapower dinghy with a canopy. Shoes are not allowed on board, you remain barefoot. Dogs are allowed at extra charge: please contact the skipper at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail to assess the possibility of taking your four-legged friend on board.
