Rather than roasting on the shoreline, do you propose absurd challenges to your friends like 'who can find the strangest fish'? What you need is an alternative plan for the day and what better than aboat excursion that takes you snorkelling in the beautiful waters of Palermo's coastline?
Let the skipper guide you to discover enchanting natural scenery such as Mondello Beach and the Grotta della Regina, explore the area's marine habitat with some snorkelling , and enjoy a tasty aperitif of typical Sicilian products.
It will be the perfect opportunity to experience 4 hours different from the usual and make your holiday unique.
What we will do
We will meet at the meeting point in Palermo, where our skipper will be waiting for us. After a short introductory briefing of about 10 minutes we will board the boat, a vintage wooden yacht, and begin the experience.
Leaving the harbour we will proceed with a slow navigation, following the perimeter of the coast for about an hour. We will be able to admire Monte Pellegrino, the city's main mountain relief falling sheer to the sea. The waters we will cross will be calm and allow us to relax and enjoy the view in complete serenity. We will also be able to see the other side of the coast with its mountainous landscape and barren nature and, if the sky is clear, we will catch a glimpse ofMount Etna.
The first destination we will reach is Mondello Beach, characterised by its fine, light-coloured sand. Near the beach we will stay offshore for about an hour and dive into the sea armed with mask and snorkel to explore the wonderful waters of the area with a bit of snorkelling.
Immediately after Mondello we will reach the Grotta della Regina (Queen's Grotto), named after Queen Caroline of Austria who had a private pool built there, carved out of the stone. During the one-hour stop, we will take the opportunity to take another swim and enjoy a delicious aperitif, which will include a glass of white wine and a selection of typical Sicilian productsincluding olives, bruschetta, caponata and aubergine salad.
Once the aperitif is over, we will relax on board while the skipper takes us back to the starting point with a one-hour sail.
The total duration of the activity, including the initial briefing, is 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone regardless of age. Children under the age of 16 may only participate if accompanied by a responsible adult. From the age of 16 it is possible to participate without an accompanying person, subject to a parent's signature of a release form.
Children up to the age of 5 (inclusive) participate free of charge.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to do the activity.
The boat is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with walking difficulties.

The activity is available daily from May to the end of September and will be confirmed once a minimum of 2 participants is reached.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and paid parking spaces are available nearby.
Theboat used during the activity is a vintage wooden yacht with two spacious outdoor areas at the bow and stern. In addition, it is equipped with a sunbathing area with cushions, awning, shower, toilet and climbing ladder. Barefoot on board the yacht is required.
Theaperitif includes a glass of local white wine and a selection of typical Sicilian productsincluding olives, bruschette, caponata, aubergine salad and other snacks depending on the season. In the event of allergies or intolerances, you can request an alternative by contacting the facility beforehand at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Dogs are allowed on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
