Full description
Spend 4 hours of total relaxation discovering the maritime area of Syracuse and theisland of Ortigia. On board a modern motorboat with a skipper, you will discover many historical and naturalistic curiosities about the places covered by the excursion, such as the Plemmirio marine protected area, the Maniace Castle in Ortigia, the Arethusa fountain, and the Grand Harbour of Syracuse.
During the tour you will be provided with fresh drinks and seasonal fruit, and can enjoy an excellent lunch prepared directly on board with typical Sicilian products. There will also be space for several swimming stops in the caves and at the most picturesque spots along the coast.

What we will do
The appointment is at 11.00 am at the port of Syracuse. We will find our motor boat waiting for us along with the guide who will accompany us on the tour.
Once we have formed the group and taken our places on board, we will begin our navigation towards the northern side of Syracuse, to discover sea caves and some peculiar rocks that resemble the shapes of animals.
We will then continue to the Plemmirio nature reserve, with the famous Pillirina beach, one of the most beautiful in Syracuse. In addition to the in-depth guided tour, there will also be time for a few bathroom stops at the most picturesque spots along the way.
Our excursion will take us around theisland of Ortigia and discover its rich and fascinating history. From the sea, we will admire the former Bourbon prison, Fort Vigliena, the Spanish walls and Maniace Castle guarding the port. We will proceed further on our approach to Syracuse to embrace with our gaze the Levante waterfront, the Alfeo promenade, the Arethusa fountain and the city's immense harbour.
Throughout the tour we will be provided with fresh drinks and seasonal fruit. Thanks to the kitchen on board, the staff will treat us to a lunch of Sicilian specialities (included), with a reinforced starter and main course accompanied by wine and drinks.
We will return to the departure point around 15.00. The total duration of the activity will be 4 hours.

The activity is available from May to September.
The boat used for the tour is a 12-metre motor boat with a shaded dining area and central table, an upper deck with a seating area and sofas, an on-board kitchen, toilet, shower, safety systems and a ladder. The boat is not wheelchair accessible.
Pleasenote: theitinerary may be subject to slight variations depending on weather conditions.
Dogs are allowed on board.
