Once upon a time there was an Arab prince who fell in love with Sardinia and gave birth to the Costa Smeralda!
Let yourself be bewitched by the magnificent views the area offers by setting off on this half-day dinghy tour from Porto Rotondo.
Stop near the most beautiful coves on the coast and take a dip in the sea, then relax on board and enjoy the view. The scenery in which you will be immersed will be enchanting and taking your eyes off the horizon will become an impossible task!
What we will do
We will meet in Porto Rotondo (SS), where our skipper will be waiting for us. We will board the boat, a BWA 750 Goldline dinghy, and set off on our adventure along Italy's most famous coastline: the Costa Smeralda!
We will proceed to the islands of Soffi, Le Camere and Mortorio. The three are under the protection of the Maddalena Archipelago National Park. We will stop at the first two islets, which together form magnificent natural pools , and have about 15 minutes to cool off with a swim in the sea.
We will then continue on to the Spiaggia del Principe (Prince's Beach), the first beach on which Karim Aga Khan IV, the Arab prince who gave birth to the Costa Smeralda after falling in love with the beauty of this part of Gallura, landed. The beach is characterised by a white beach framed by pink granite promontories. Here, we will stop for about 15 minutes for a dip!
Once we have set off again, we will skirt the magnificent villas on the coast and the Cala di Capriccioli and then stop at the Spiaggia del Pirata (Pirate's Beach ) for about 20 minutes, where we will be able to go ashore and stop at the nearest bar or take another dip in the sea!
The next destination will be the Roccia dell'Elefante (Elephant Rock), a rust-coloured trachyte rock 4 metres high, detached centuries ago from Mount Castellazzu and modelled by the weather into the shape of the animal that gives it its name. We will stop near it and take a few photos.
Then we will stop at the Spiaggia dei Ginepri (Junipers' Beach), a characteristic cove that is difficult to reach by land and offers unique vantage points. If the weather permits, the skipper will allow us 15 minutes for a swim. Finally, we will stop for another 15 minutes near the Cala di Petra Ruja and the neighbouring coves, which are distinguished by their enchanting reddish sand.
Throughout the tour, the natural scenery offered by the Costa Smeralda will amaze and fascinate us. At the end of the tour, which will end with the return to the starting point and will last a total of four hours, we will be in love with it, just like the prince did when he saw it for the first time!
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 3 and up. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may participate subject to signing a waiver by a responsible adult.
The activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
The boat is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The activity is available from the beginning of June to mid-October and will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport and free parking spaces are available nearby.
The boat used during the activity is a BWA 750 Goldline dinghy with a length of 7 metres, a width of 3 metres and a maximum capacity of 12 persons. It is equipped with a climbing ladder, awning, cushions and an igloo fridge with ice (included). It is necessary to remain barefoot on board.
By requesting it in advance and paying an additional €10 on site (cash or electronic payment), it will be possible to use a snorkelling kit (excluded and optional). For more information contact the organisers at the contact details you will receive in your booking confirmation e-mail.
