Full description
Set off on ahalf-day boat trip from Portoferraio to discover the northern coast of Elba Island.
You will sail on board a boat that will be at your complete disposal, so you can choose the length of the stops and take your time to admire the marvellous landscapes you will encounter.
It will be like taking a walk on the sea, and thanks to the presence of the skipper you will discover many interesting facts about the Scoglietto biological protection zone and Napoleon's residence. Refreshing baths and snorkelling in crystal-clear waters await you!
What we will do
The tour will depart at the time agreed upon at the time of booking from Portoferraio, a typical fishing village and the main port of theIsland of Elba.
On leaving the port, after a few minutes of sailing, we will find ourselves in the biological protection area of the Scoglietto. We will stop near the Scoglietto di Portoferraio, an islet on which there is a lighthouse and symbol of this marine protected area. Here we can take a swim and admire the caves and ravines that open up along the cliff and offer shelter to many fish.
After an hour and a half sailing along the north coast, during which I will show you one of Napoleon's majestic residences, we will stop in front of two coves, only accessible by sea, one more beautiful than the other. We will be able to swim and wear snorkelling masks to admire the seabed and catch a glimpse of the marine inhabitants.
When we return on board, we will start our return trip. We will stop at a beach enclosed by sheer cliffs, where the water is very clear, for one last swim, lasting about 30 minutes.
The excursion has a total duration of about 4 hours and will end with the return to Portoferraio.
Who it is aimed at
The excursion is suitable for everyone from the age of 3. It is recommended that you know how to swim (life jackets are provided on board, however).
Other information
The tour is available daily from April to October.
The boat available for the tour is a motorboat, 5.80 metres long. On board it can accommodate up to 6 persons in addition to the skipper and is equipped with sundecks and life jackets. You may request to use snorkelling masks.
Changes to the itinerary can be agreed with the skipper; for this reason, fuel is not included in the participation fee. The fee will be payable on site at the end of the experience and will depend on the number and duration of stops.
There is a car park 20 metres from the meeting point or you can arrive by bus.
Small and medium-sized animals are allowed on board, provided the owners take care not to spoil the cushions. You must bring towels for your four-legged friend on board.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
