Take part in this off-road tour to discover theIglesias mining area, covering 30 km in the company of a guide ready to help you discover hidden sites, breathtaking landscapes and characteristic villagesin theSardinian hinterland.
A pit stop for an aperitif is a must, strictly Sardinian!
What we will do
The meeting point is 10 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Monteponi (SU). Awaiting us will be our guide ready to take us on this 4x4 tour!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will get on board the car to discover one of Sardinia's most fascinating industrial archaeological sites, the Monteponi mine, driving along old mining paths and reaching points that are only accessible by 4x4.
Afterwards, we will continue the itinerary towards the Monte San Giovanni belvedere, where we will enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of the Gennargentu Massif and the Pan di Zucchero, one of the natural monuments symbolising the Iglesias coastline. The tour will continue in the direction of the village of Gonnesa , which we will pass to reach an altitude of 800 metres. Here we will stop for an aperitif pit stop during which we will taste Sardinian cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by a glass of Vermentino or a soft drink.
At the end of our culinary pit stop, we will begin the descent towards Iglesias through cork forests, oaks and Mediterranean scrub. We will cover a total of 30 km on dirt and asphalt roads.
We will finally return to the meeting point at around 1 p.m.; the experience will last about four hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for everyone from 2 years of age. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during the experience.
The activity is not recommended for people with mobility problems.

The activity is available all year round and is confirmed with a minimum of 2 participants.
The tour will be conducted in a Nissan Patrol 3000 cc 4 or 6-seater air-conditioned car for a maximum of 30 participants spread over several cars.

Free parking is available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Dogs are not allowed during the experience.
