Fly over Monte Rosa in a helicopter and admire Capanna Margherita, Europe's highest mountain hut at 4,554 metres above sea level.
Experience the thrill of a helicopter tour over one of the most spectacular mountains in the Alpine chain. On board an Airbus Helicopter AS350B3 piloted by an expert pilot, we will fly through the skies above Monte Rosa, admiring its beauty from a unique perspective.
This is a group flight: the helicopter will be shared with other participants up to a maximum of 5 people (in addition to the pilot).
What we will do
The meeting point is in Mergozzo, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, where you will be welcomed by the pilot who will illustrate the route of the tour and provide you with the necessary information to face the experience without worries.
During the 40-minute flight, we will fly over a record-breaking mountain that boasts the highest refuge in Europe, the Capanna Regina Margherita, as well as the east face, the steepest and highest of the entire Alpine chain with features reminiscent of the Himalayas, and the extreme Punta Dufour, which soars 4,634 metres in height.
Monte Rosa is visible from almost all the Valsesian localities, from the 'lowlands' to the extreme valley floor, with several vantage points from which to observe its elegant profile, which in clear dawns lit by the rays of the sun is tinged with a striking and characteristic pink.
Europe's highest refuge, the Capanna Regina Margherita on the Punta Gnifetti, at 4559 metres above sea level, owes its name to the historic feat of the Italian Queen Margherita di Savoia, who bravely climbed the peak between 18 and 19 August 1893.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
