Are you a flying enthusiast and have you always dreamed of taking the controls of a helicopter like a real pilot?
The time has come to try it for real! An experienced instructor is waiting for you in Rome for a 30-minute piloting test on board a Robinson R22.
This experience will allow you to fly a helicopter with dual controls, making two take-offs and two landings.
What we will do
The piloting test will take place at the Roma Urbe Airport. The experience will begin with a theoretical lesson on the principles of flight and helicopter operation. You will learn the main controls and manoeuvres to be used during take-off and landing, and put them to the test immediately afterwards!
At the end of the lesson, you will board the two-seater helicopter together with the instructor to start the real flying experience. As the propeller begins to turn, you will be seized by a sudden thrill that will reach its peak when you feel the aircraft lift off from the ground and take off vertically.
Thanks to the presence of dual controls, the instructor pilot will be able to regain control at any time, so don't worry, it will be easier than you imagine! And if at some point you don't feel like flying any more, you can relinquish control and stay to enjoy the scenery from above.
You will fly over the airport area north of Rome for 30 minutes, making two take-offs and two landings.
To calculate the total duration of the experience, you will have to consider an additional half-hour, the time of the theory lesson.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is aimed at all flying enthusiasts, aged 18 years and over and with a body weight not exceeding 100 kg.
Other information
This activity can be carried out all year round, subject to weather and other conditions to ensure maximum safety in the air.
It is recommended to carry a passport (for foreign citizens) or identity card (for Italian citizens) . In addition to this, foreign citizens must send a copy of their passport to the organisers before the flight, to the contact details given in the booking confirmation email.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
