E-bike tour on Vesuvius

Explore the sleeping giant and reach the summit for a breathtaking panorama of the Gulf of Naples. In the company of your guide, you will discover many interesting facts about the geology and history of the volcano.

Climb the slopes of Vesuvius, pedal on paved roads, and walk along the crater. It will be an exciting experience for nature andadventure lovers!

What we will do

The tour begins with pick-up at your residence or at a point agreed upon with the guide after booking. Together with your guide and the rest of the group, we will shuttle to the slopes of Vesuvius, where we will mount our e-bikes ready to set off on the tour, not before a briefing on the route and safety regulations.

We will pedal along the tarmac road that climbs up to the crater, immersed in the characteristic flora of Vesuvius, in anatmosphere of unparalleled charm, accompanied by splendid views of the valley below. As we get closer to the summit, the vegetation will become increasingly barren until it disappears completely, leaving room for fascinating volcanic scenery.

Upon reaching the summit, we will leave our bicycles to continue on foot and walk along the rim of the crater. The guide, if we wish, will tell us interesting facts about the geology of Vesuvius, the flora of the National Park, the history of the volcano and the role it still plays in the lives of the people living on its slopes.

At the end of the visit, we will cycle down the valley and the shuttle bus will take us back to the starting point. The duration of the tour is approximately 5 hours, during which we will cover a distance of 30 km and an altitude difference of 656 m, facilitated by the use of pedal assistance.

Who it is aimed at

The activity is of medium level. There are no special requirements, but it is necessary to be able to ride a bike and have a minimum of physical endurance. You must be at least 16 years old (minors must be accompanied by an adult).

Other information

The activity takes place every day from February to November and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.

After booking, you can tell the guide the address of your residence for the pick-up or agree on a meeting point. The following are the places where the pick-up service is available: Massa Lubrense, Sorrento, Sant'Agnello, Piano di Sorrento, Meta and Castellammare di Stabia.

Upon request, volcanological guides will provide explanations on the geology of Vesuvius and the crater.

In agreement with the guide, a different departure time can be arranged.
