Full description
Enjoy amountain-bike excursion on the slopes of the mountains of the Sette Fratelli Park, a natural oasis in the southeast of Sardinia.
You will cover 20 km along a secondary road free of vehicular traffic and all around you will have granite plateaus alternating with woods and typical Mediterranean vegetation.
Atwo-wheel adventure that will allow you to discover wonderful landscapes and an area of high natural and archaeological interest. The perfect tour for nature lovers who want to discover this area of southern Sardinia.
What we will do
We will meet in Maracalagonis, in the province of Cagliari at 9:00 am. Once the group is formed, the guide will conduct a briefing on the day's route, while handing over the bikes. After that, we will be ready to set off.
We will immediately reach a viewpoint to admire the Golfo degli AngeliaFromthis natural balcony we will be able to observe the city of Cagliari with its historic quarters. Among various pleasant ups and downs we will arrive at a pleasant spot with a small waterfall, where we will stop to rest and refresh ourselves.
We will then ascend until we reach the Tomb of the Giants of Is Concias, one of the best-preserved Nuragic tombs on the island. A little more effort and we will find the small settlement of San Pietro Paradiso, whose name already betrays the beautiful setting in which it is immersed.
From this point we will enter the forest, among cork and holm oaks. It is here that the most demanding part of the hike will begin, with steep and tight hairpin bends leading to the Codoleddu plain, a granite plateau unchanged for hundreds of years and where it is easy to spot horses in the wild. The plain is dominated by the remains of the Sa Fraigada nuraghe, which we will visit closely.
Having resumed our bikes, we will continue our ride until we can admire the Sette Fratelli massif in the distance, with its seven peaks that characterise its profile. We will continue along a pleasant road still amidst the cork oak forests that will take us back to the meeting point.
The duration of thebike excursion is 3 hours, during which we will cover approximately 20 km and an altitude difference of 400 m.
Who it is aimed at
The route is suitable for moderately fit people who are used to using a bicycle and gearbox. To participate in the excursion, you must be at least 11 years old.
Reduced rates are available for participants aged 11 to 14 years: please contact us for a booking request with children aged 11 to 14 years.

The tour takes place throughout the year.
The excursion can be tailored to theexperience of the group.
A shuttle service to the excursion centre is available. Please ask the organiser at the contact details you will receive once your booking has been confirmed. The cost is not included in the participation fee and will be payable locally.
