If you are looking for an escape that is truly 'out of this world'. .. well, you have just found it.
By climbing the Skyway from Courmayeur to Punta Helbronner, at an altitude of 3, 466 metres, you will cross the threshold of a universe dominated by perennial ice.
Roped up, with crampons biting into the fresh snow, you will move over the Glacier of the Giant with a certified alpine guide who will make this walk of about 4 hours safe and absolutely unforgettable.
What we will do
The appointment is at 9: 00 a. m. in Courmayeur (AO), where the UIAGM-certified mountain guide will be waiting for you. After introductions and an initial briefing on the itinerary, you will ascend by the iconic Skyway Monte Bianco cable car (ticket not included) to Punta Helbronner, the final station suspended between sky and ice.
In about 20 minutes you will pass from the valley floor to over 3, 000 metres above sea level, entering directly into a spectacular glacial environment. Punta Helbronner, with its crystal-shaped architecture, is an experience in itself: before setting off, you will have time to look out onto the circular panoramic terrace, from where you can enjoy a 360° view of the highest peaks of the Western Alps, from Mont Blanc to Monte Rosa, from the Matterhorn to Gran Paradiso.
From here the actual activity will begin. Once ready, you will prepare for the hike: harnesses, crampons on your feet and ropes, all provided by your guide. You will walk on the Glacier of the Giant bound in a rope, learning how to move on snow and ice in total safety. The guide will accompany you step by step, explaining how to use crampons correctly and read the glacial environment that surrounds you, including crevasses and surfaces sculpted by time.
The itinerary will be customised according to the level of the group, the weather conditions and your wishes. During the hike, there will be moments to stop, observe, ask questions and understand at first hand how an environment as extreme as it is fascinating, surrounded by legendary peaks such as Mont Blanc du Tacul and the Aiguille Verte.
At the end of the hike, you will return to the valley by cable car. The total duration of the experience is about 4 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone over the age of 16; minors may only participate if accompanied by a participating adult.
The activity is ideal as a first experience at altitude: no previous training is required, just being in good health.
Other information
The activity is available every weekend from October to the end of May, subject to the opening of the Mont Blanc Skyway.
The return ticket for the Skyway cable car is not included in the fee and can be purchased on site at a cost of approx . €65 per person.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport , while free and paid parking spaces are available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
