Quad bike excursion with barbecue and night in a tent in the Picentini Mountains

In the Picentini Mountains, an experiential stay combining adventure and nature awaits you. The package includes a quad bike excursion, a barbecue with friends, overnight stay in a tent and breakfast.

What we will do

The appointment is at 19: 00 at the meeting point in Bagnoli Irpino (AV) . Here you will be welcomed by your guide, who will accompany you to the nearby picnic area near Lake Laceno, where you can take your place in your tent (provided by the organisation) .

Once you have set up your equipment for the night, your adventure will begin! You will board the 4x4 quads and set off on a guided hike of about 1 hour, along an easy route suitable for everyone. During the tour, you will pass through evocative places such as the Witches' Forest, the Brigands' Lair, the Valley of the Kings, the Samnite Necropolis, and the Grotto of San Guglielmo, on a route of about 20 km that will include stretches of asphalt and dirt road.

Back at the base, the most convivial moment of the evening will await you: the barbecue. You will be able to choose between a meat menu (bruschette and grilled meat trio) or a vegetarian menu (grilled scamorza cheese, melted caciocavallo cheese and grilled vegetables) , accompanied by water and wine.

Dinner will end around 10 p. m., at which point you will be escorted back to the picnic area to spend the night in your tent, immersed in the silence of the Picentini Mountains.

The next morning you will wake up at a leisurely pace and, thanks to the side-by-side transfer, reach a local café for breakfast included. After 10: 00 a. m., you will be free to return on your own.

Who it is aimed at

The experience is aimed at 2 persons over 18 years of age.

The driver must hold an AM or B licence; equivalent foreign licences are accepted.

The experience is of an easy level and suitable for a first time quad rider.

The experience is available from 30 April to 30 September.

The experience may take place in the company of other participants. During the excursion driver and passenger can swap driving if both have an AM or B licence. The organiser has at its disposal 6 quads with 50 cc or 250 cc displacement; with an AM licence it is possible to drive 50 cc vehicles while with a B licence it is possible to drive 250 cc vehicles.

For overnight accommodation the organiser provides only the tent: sleeping bags, mattresses and other personal equipment (such as lamps or torches) are the responsibility of the participants. The picnic area has outdoor toilets, open 24 hours a day, with WC, sink and power point.

Vegetarian alternatives for dinner are provided, while options for people with food allergies and intolerances, e. g. celiac disease, cannot be guaranteed. To request a vegetarian alternative, please contact the guide at the contact details given in your booking confirmation email.

Dogs are allowed. During the quad bike excursion, small and medium-sized dogs may participate on board the quad bike together with their owners. Large dogs, on the other hand, will be transported on the guide's side-by-side.

There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
