If you need a reason to come to Nizza Monferrato, we’ll give you four or five.
Yes, you heard right! As many as the wine labels that have shaped the history of the Bersano winery, which you can sample during a guided tasting , choosing your favourite combination.
The experience also includes a visit to the Museo delle Contadinerie, for a glimpse into Piedmont’s rural history!
What we will do
The meeting with the guide is at the selected time at the Bersano winery in Nizza Monferrato (AT).
Once all participants have gathered, the tour will begin outside the Museo delle Contadinerie, one of Italy’s leading museums of its kind. The museum, established in 1961, was expanded by Arturo Bersano throughout his lifetime and houses a number of unique pieces of rural heritage dating back to the 17th century.
We will then move on to a tour of the historic winery, passing through the great cask room and the French barrel cellar.
Once the tour is over, we will be shown into the spacious tasting room to sample the wines that have shaped the history of the Bersano winery. When booking, you can choose from the following tasting options:
- 4 Sisters: includes a tasting of 4 wines, including Pinot Spumante, Sauvignon Blanc, Barbera d’Asti and Ruchè di Castagnole.
- Our History: includes a tasting of five wines, including Arturo Metodo Classico Brut, Roero Arneis Eroe, Barbera d’Asti Superiore Costalunga, Nebbiolo d’Alba Paisan and , finally, Moscato d’Asti Monteolivo.
- Selection: includes a tasting of 5 wines, including Nizza Cremosina, Pinot Nero Prata, Barbaresco Mantico and the two Barolos, Badarina and Cannubi.
- Icons: includes a tasting of 5 wines, including Arturo Metodo Classico Pas Dosé, Chardonnay Castelgaro, Nizza Riserva Generala and the two Barolos, Badarina and Cannubi.
The tasting will be accompanied by breadsticks or savoury biscuits (on request, a platter of cold cuts and cheeses can be booked in advance, to be paid for on the day) .
The experience will last approximately one and a half hours in total .
Who it is aimed at
The experience is recommended for 18 years and over.
The wine tasting is reserved for adults only. Any accompanying under-age guests attend free of charge.
The facility is accessible by wheelchair or pushchair with the exception of the wine cellar.
Other information
Activities take place all year round.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.
Dogs are allowed in the common areas of the winery and in the vineyard, but are not allowed in the cellar.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
