This is the kind of escape from routine that makes you smile even as you pack your backpack!
In the province of Alessandria , a 1-night stay at an agritourism farm awaits you: you will sleep in a small house in the middle of the countryside and wake up to the sounds of nature. In the morning, a home-made breakfast will give you the right energy for the most tender part of the experience: trekking with donkeys.

What we will do
The appointment is at the farmhouse in Cantalupo Ligure (AL), where you can check in from 14: 00 until 18: 00. On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and accompanied to your room, which will be located inside a small house built in bio-construction and with underfloor heating.
The accommodation is bright and has views of the surrounding countryside. It is also equipped with a private bathroom with shower, towels and bed linen and Wi-Fi. In the morning you will be served a breakfast (included) with homemade cakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea and coffee.
There is no lunch or dinner during your stay, but the staff will be happy to recommend excellent restaurants nearby. You will thus have the freedom to explore the surroundings and taste local specialities.
The donkey activity will take place on the day of departure, also at the farmhouse. Together with your guide, you will reach the stable and meet Domenico and Umberto, two very friendly donkeys. After a briefing of about 20 minutes to learn more about their habits, you will set off on a 3 km loop trek, mostly flat and on dirt track.
You will walk through woods and pastures, leading the donkeys by the harness and enjoying breaks for photos and cuddles. Once back, you will greet them and a snack (included) of cake, scones, salami and typical cheeses will be waiting for you. The experience will last about 3 hours in total.

The facility is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties.

The experience is available all year round. Check-in will be possible from 14: 00 to 18: 00 while check-out must be done no later than 11: 00.

Donkey trekking is not a private activity and may be shared with other participants. A photo shoot of the experience with a professional photographer can be organised on request and for an additional fee on site. What happens in case of bad weather?
The experiences included in the stay plus experience packages are subject to weather conditions. If the experience cannot take place due to bad weather or other causes of force majeure, you can choose between a refund for the experience that did not take place or rescheduling the activity for another date (if available). However, the stay cannot be refunded or rescheduled if the terms of the package cancellation policy have already expired.
Can I change the date selected for my stay?
