There are all sorts of getaways. There’s the one from Monday morning traffic, the one from office deadlines, and then there’s your next romantic getaway to Santa Maria della Versa! Here, a special night awaits you in a cosy studio apartment overlooking the vineyards, where the only background noise will be the wind rustling through the vines.
To get things off to the best possible start, a welcome bottle of sparkling wine will be waiting for you in your room, perfect for an initial toast for two. You can then continue your exploration of the local area with a wine tasting at the Calatroni winery.
And speaking of getaways. .. we’ve also arranged a cycling trip – or rather, an e-bike ride – complete with a lavish picnic to enjoy amongst the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese with your loved one!
What we will do
Check-in is from 4 pm at the farmhouse in Santa Maria della Versa (PV). On arrival, you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your accommodation, where a welcome bottle of sparkling wine will be waiting for you!
You will stay in a studio apartment with a double bed, located within a villa surrounded by vineyards. The room features air conditioning, a kitchen equipped with a fridge, minibar and hob, a private bathroom, a coffee machine and a kettle. Subject to availability, you will be allocated one of the units on the upper floor with a balcony and panoramic views of the vineyards, or on the ground floor with a small balcony.
The activities included in your stay are:
- a wine tasting with a tour of the Calatroni winery ( just a few hundred metres from the agriturismo) , including a tasting of 4 typical wines from the Oltrepò Pavese region (Metodo Classico, Bonarda, Riesling and Sangue di Giuda) , accompanied by local nibbles such as cold cuts, cheeses, vegetable flan and tart
- e-bike hire ( x 2) to explore the recommended routes at your own pace, including a picnic basket with meat, vegetable and cheese sandwiches, fruit tart, water and a bottle of wine.
You can agree on the exact time and day for these experiences after your booking is confirmed, choosing whether to have them on the day of check-in or check-out.
In the morning, a packed breakfast awaits you to enjoy at your leisure in your accommodation. Check-out is by 10: 00 am.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is designed for two adults. On request, rooms can accommodate up to four guests in a triple or quadruple configuration, with free accommodation for children up to the age of four.
The property is not wheelchair accessible.

If you have any food allergies and/or intolerances, please contact the organiser using the details provided in your booking confirmation email to let them know. For dinner, you will have the option to book a table at the restaurant in the nearby winery, located just a few hundred metres from the property.
Small dogs are welcome, as are cats, and there is no extra charge for their stay. You can request a dog trailer (included) to attach to the e-bike by contacting the property using the details above.
The property is not easily accessible by public transport; free parking is available on site.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
