Come and discover the world of ice climbing. We will spend a wonderful day together in the magical Orco Valley at theX-ICE ice facilityin Ceresole Reale (TO).
Ice climbing is a discipline that has grown a lot in recent years and consists of tackling majestic vertical ice walls equipped with ice axes and crampons. The X-ICE crag in Ceresole Reale is a very popular site among ice climbers and consists of more than 50 artificially created spots for ice climbing. There are different routes for all tastes, from entry level suitable for beginners to more technical spots for which some skill is required.
Whether you want to try this sport for the first time or improve your existing technique, a day in the company of an UIAGM Alpine Guide is just the thing for you!
What we will do
The meeting point is in Noasca, in the province of Turin, the last town before reaching the spot. We stop at the café for breakfast, check our equipment, and then head to the facility with a 10-minute drive.
Depending on the level of the participants, we will decide which lines to practice on. We will learn the fundamental technique of ice climbing, i.e. combining 4 elements that allow us to move on the wall: starting by pointing crampons, using technical ice axes, finding the balance position and finally transferring weight.
We will train to master the technique by combining agility and coordination by following several trials surrounded by a breathtaking landscape. Few activities can provide the thrills of ice climbing!
Who it is aimed at
The activity is open to everyone, from entry level with no climbing experience to climbers who wish to perfect their technique. Thanks to the accompaniment of an Alpine Guide, the activity is carried out safely, identifying the best lines according to the level of the participants.
Other information
The activity can be booked from December to April and is carried out in groups of 1 to 3 participants. The cost of 330€ is per group and will be divided among the participants.
The guide will provide you with technical equipment if you don't have it (crampons, ice axes), while it is necessary to be equipped with boots with automatic crampon fittings. Alternatively, it will be possible to hire boots, harness and helmet by contacting the guide after booking.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 15 days from the activity start date. Within 14 and 8 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
