Ever thought of climbing an icefall?
Imagine yourself with ice axes and crampons, scaling a sparkling ice wall. The cold? Just a detail. The fear? Part of the fun. Your breath condenses in the air, the ice crunches beneath you and every step brings you closer to a challenge you will never forget.
Take part in a day of ice climbing together with a private mountain guide and test your courage amidst the wonders of the Dolomites!
What we will do
The appointment with the mountain guide is at 8 a.m. at the meeting point in the province of Trento. From here, by our own means or those of the organisation, we will reach one of the iconic icefalls of the Trentino Dolomites, such as those at Passo Sella or Passo Gardena. For those interested in a more technical experience, it is possible to try a mixed route (mix ice and rock) such as the famous Mafia Bianca at Tonale.
Once on site, we will begin with a theoretical lesson on ice climbing in which the basics of this discipline will be explained: how to move on ice, safety techniques and the use of basic tools such as crampons, ice axes and ropes.
After the theory, we will put what we have learned into practice: we will try our hand at climbing an ice wall with the constant support of the mountain guide. Everyone will have the opportunity to try and improve, following the pace and needs of the group.
The activity will last about 9 hours - including a break for a packed lunch - and will end with a return to the starting point together with the guide.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is aimed at everyone from the age of 12, even those approaching the discipline of ice climbing for the first time. It is necessary to be in good health and have a good predisposition for physical activity.

The activity is bookable from December to March, subject to weather conditions.
