Could you manage as a medieval archer? Find out with this instinctive archery course!
Spend a day in Rignano Flaminio, in the province of Rome, and learn from experienced archers how to handle bow and arrows to hit increasingly complex and realistic targets! You will improve your dexterity, speed and coordination!
Get ready for a fun experience in contact with nature!
What we will do
The appointment is at 09: 00 at the meeting point in Rignano Flaminio (RM) . Awaiting us will be the instructor who will accompany us in this exciting challenge against ourselves!
We will begin with a safety briefing and the dominant eye test, which is fundamental for holding the bow correctly. After receiving professional equipment, we will study the history of this age-old tool and shoot our first arrows at a short distance (5-7 m) to refine our posture and release.
In the afternoon, after a packed lunch (not included) , we will discover how arrows are made and learn the basic rules for shooting on three-dimensional silhouettes, at varying distances (10-15 m) . We will then move to the forest near the location, where we will have a friendly competition, testing dexterity and speed.
We will conclude the experience by receiving our well-deserved certificates of participation!
The activity will last a total of 9 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for 12 years and over. Children under the age of 18 may participate if a waiver is signed by a responsible adult.
A medical certificate is required to participate in the activity.
The experience is wheelchair-accessible, taking into account that the experience location has a grassy area.
The activity is of an easy level and perfect for those who have never held a bow before.
Other information
The experience takes place on calendar dates (continually being updated) and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 6 participants.
Dogs are allowed.
There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
