Full description
Sardinia is not only sea: its hinterland holds endless wonders! With our half-day Jeep excursion you can discover the Lanaitto valley in the heart of the region.
You will have the opportunity to explore Monte Corrasi, an imposing limestone-dolomite massif that is home to numerous botanical and animal species. You will also be able to admire two masterpieces of nature: Su Gologone, a spring of millenary origin, and Sa Oche, a fascinating cave with kilometre-long caves.
The itinerary will end with a visit to the Nuragic village of Sa Sedda and Sos Carros, an archaeological site dating back to the Bronze Age. At the various stops, you will be able to get out of the jeep for short walks around the places of interest, visit the area up close and take incredible photos.

What we will do
We will set off at 9 a.m. from Oliena, after meeting the guide and holding a briefing on the route.
Onboard a jeep, we will travel in the direction of Monte Corrasi, the highest peak of the vast and impervious Supramonte plateau, and one of the island's most striking reliefs. Here we will descend for a short walk in the upper part of the mountain, characterised by limestone rocks that make the landscape arid and desolate, almost 'lunar'.
We will then descend to the valley to visit the historic centre of Oliena, a small village nestled between mountains and surrounded by woods and springs, which preserves the essence and charm of Barbagia.
We will then continue to the Su Gologone spring, which rises to the surface like a small emerald lake set between lush vegetation and high dolomite rock walls. We will then visit Sa Oche, one of the largest karst systems in Europe.
Finally, we will head towards the Nuragic Village of Sa Sedda e Sos Carros, a uniquely fascinating archaeological site with its remains dating back to the Bronze Age. After about four hours we will return to our starting point.
