Full description
Looking for anadrenaline-fuelled adventure in the middle of nature? Have fun among the rapids of the Stura di Demonte river aboard a kayak raft and challenge the raging current with paddle strokes!
The kayak raft is an inflatable boat with one or two seats, similar to an inflatable boat but much more agile and manoeuvrable, perfect if you want to experience the thrills of rafting to the nth degree.
So immerse yourself in the evocative natural landscape of the Cuneo valleys and get ready to face a frothy 6 km descent.
What we will do
We will meet at the Stura River Village in Gaiola, in the province of Cuneo. There we will meet the guides and , first, have a briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules.
When we are ready, we will put on our wetsuits and the rest of our equipment and embark on the kayak raft to begin our navigation on the Stura di Demonte river. On the 6 km route we will alternate between calm and lively stretches, where the current and rapids will be the real protagonists.
Thanks to the agility and manoeuvrability of the kayak raft, we will fully enjoy the excitement and adrenaline of rafting. Guides will escort us on board the safety kayaks to ensure maximum safety at all times.
The descent will last approximately 2 hours. At the end, the rafting centre's vehicles will take us back to the village, where we can continue the day relaxing, perhaps with a refreshing dip in the pool!
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to everyone from 6 years old and up. Good water skills are required and it is preferable to have rafted at least once. Children will travel on double kayak rafts together with their parents.

Attention! It is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes before the time chosen for the activity.
This activity is bookable from May to September and is confirmed when there are at least 2 participants.
Depending on level and availability, participants may choose to travel on single or double kayak rafts, in agreement with the guides.
All rafting centre facilities are available, including showers, changing rooms and a swimming pool.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for the safe conduct of the activity (in the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for you to conduct the activity. You can freely choose whether or not to accept these proposals. If you can’t retrieve it, we will process a full refund! If you have set the date for your Gift Voucher and bad weather did not allow the activity to take place, the Voucher remains regularly valid until the expiration date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
