Full description
Embark on anature adventure and discover the most unspoilt corners of the Cilento National Park with akayak excursion.
Together with an expert instructor you will tackle an evocative river route on the main rivers of Campania and Basilicata, such as the Sele, the Tanagro, the Calore, the Platano or the Melandro.
You will have to juggle the current by paddling, overcoming rapids and encountering everything that nature throws at you. Aren't you curious to find out?
What we will do
The meeting is at the rafting centre in Postiglione (SA). The instructor will welcome you and your group by providing you with all thenecessary equipment and conducting a briefing on paddling techniques and safety rules. After that, you will head for the river access, ready to depart.
The route will be selected by the guide according to the time of year, river conditions and the participants' level of preparation. The descents may take place in the Tanagro, Sele or Calore, the main rivers of Cilento, or in the Melandro or Platano, on the border with Basilicata.
The river descent will alternate scenic stretches in calm waters with more dynamic, adrenalin-fuelled stretches that also involve crossing rapids. You will always be accompanied by experienced and qualified instructors and can enjoy yourself safely.
The activity lasts half a day in total, including approximately 3.5 hours in the river.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an intermediate level and is open to anyone who has already practised river sports. The minimum age to participate is 14.
Other information
This activity is bookable from April to October, subject to river conditions, when the minimum number of 2 participants is reached.
The meeting point andtime may vary depending on the route selected by the guide for the descent (more details will be provided after booking).
The centre is equipped with changing rooms and an outdoor shower.
Companions are welcome: a shaded picnic area with barbecue is provided for them (free use for activity participants, paid use for companions.
