This is the biology lesson you've always dreamed of having at school. No books or closed classrooms: here your desk will be a kayak and the laboratory will be the crystal-clear water of the Bergeggi Marine Protected Area!
Together with a marine biologist, you will explore what is known as the 'treasure chest of the Ligurian Sea' for about 2½ hours. Between one paddle and the next, you will discover the secrets of the seabed and learn to recognise the fish that inhabit this protected area.

What we will do
The appointment is at the indicated time at the meeting point in Spotorno (SV) . We will be met by an environmental guide (an experienced marine biologist) who will accompany us on this experience to discover the Protected Marine Area of the Island of Bergeggi.
We will begin with a welcome on the beach, where the guide will give a briefing on snorkelling and behaviour in the water, as well as a brief lesson in marine biology to explain what we will be observing. We will receive the necessary equipment, consisting of kayak, paddle, life jacket and snorkelling kit with mask and snorkel.
Once at sea, we will point our bows towards the island. We will paddle for about 1 hour enjoying the view of the coastline, until we reach the most interesting spots in the Marine Protected Area. Here we will leave the kayaks to dive: we will spend about 1. 5 hours doing guided snorkelling, following the movements of the guide who will point out fish, sea plants and the wonders hidden beneath the surface.
After exploring the seabed and satisfying all scientific curiosities, we will paddle back to our starting base in Spotorno.
The activity will last approximately 2½ hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable from 13 years of age; children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
To participate in the experience, it is necessary to be able to swim very well and to have good aquatic skills, given the extended time in the water.
The activity is not accessible to persons with reduced mobility.
Other information
The activity takes place from June until September and is confirmed with a minimum number of 4 participants. The itinerary and stops may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
Both single and double kayaks are available.
Toilets, changing rooms, showers, a bar and a secure storage area for personal belongings are available at the meeting point.
Dogs are allowed on board.
Both free and paid parking spaces are available on site. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
