Explore the San Felice Circeo coastline by kayak, among ancient watchtowers and caves shrouded in legend, together with a guide who will tell you every secret of the area.
The sorceress Circe 's spell forced Ulysses and his companions to stay here for a year, but you will only need three hours to fall madly in love with these places!
What we will do
We will meet 10 minutes before the indicated time at San Felice Circeo (LT), where we will be met by our guide and receive the necessaryequipment for the excursion.
We'll spend about an hour familiarising ourselves with the kayak through an in-depth briefing: the guide will teach us basic paddling techniques, how to maintain stability, how to change direction, and how to tackle the current safely.
Once we are ready, we will begin our adventure discovering the San Felice Circeo coastline on the double kayaks available. We will paddle along the coastline, admiring the historic watchtowers that once served to defend the territory.
Since antiquity, Mount Circeo has been a source of myths and legends. The ancient Greek settlers identified the Circeo as theIsle Eea, where Circe, the sorceress who bewitched Ulysses and his companions, lived.
Our kayak tour will cover a distance of about 2 km and take us to visit one or two of the caves of San Felice Circeo, part of a complex of about forty karstic caves. Each of these caves has its own unique history, which the guide will not fail to tell us.
Depending on the time of day chosen, we will be able to admire the colours of the sea that change according to the light: at dawn, with the golden reflections of the rising sun, or at sunset, when the sky is tinged with red and orange, creating a magical atmosphere.
At the end of the excursion, we return to the starting point. The total duration of the activity, including the briefing, will be 3 hours.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 6 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
To participate, one must be able to swim or be familiar with the water.
The maximum weight is 95 kg and height must not exceed 1.90 metres.

The activity takes place from May to September on weekends and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 people.
Thetour itinerary will be chosen by the instructor depending on the weather and sea conditions and the level of the group. Depending on the route, the caves could be visited by sea in a kayak or by disembarking on foot.
Coin-operated showers and toilets are available at the meeting point. Any personal belongings can be stored in the waterproof bag provided or left in the car.
The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport; there is a pay car park on site.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
