Full description
Genoa as you've never seen it, from a kayak!
Join a 3-hour tour that will take you to discover the Genoese coastline and the ancient fishing village of Boccadasse, with its colourful postcard-perfect houses.
In addition to paddling and admiring beautiful views, you will discover many stories and curiosities told by a local guide and, weather permitting, enjoy a relaxing swim with Genoa in the background.
What we will do
We will meet at the indicated meeting point in Genoa, 10 minutes before the departure time. The guide will show us the route and give us some hints on kayak use and paddling techniques during a briefing of about 20 minutes.
Aboard our double kayaks we will then start paddling along the Genoa coastline. Passing Capo Santa Chiara and its watchtowers, we will approach the seaside village of Boccadasse, a corner of Genoa that seems to stand still in time, with its pastel-coloured houses and small beach set among the rocks. A stop to take some nice souvenir photos is a must!
We will then walk along Corso Italia, one of the city's most iconic promenades, and admire the elegant Art Nouveau villas on the hills overlooking the sea. During the tour the guide will tell us stories and curiosities about the places we will visit and point out the best spots to stop for a swim.
The tour will be about 8 km long and will end with a return to the starting point.
The experience will last a total of 3 hours, including the briefing.
Who it is aimed at
The activity is suitable for ages 7 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Swimming skills are recommended.
The weight per participant must not exceed 130 kg.
Other information
The tour takes place all year round and is confirmed with a minimum number of 2 persons.
Public showers and changing rooms are available at the meeting point from May to October. Personal belongings can be left in the car or brought along to be stored in the waterproof bag provided.
Dogs are not allowed to participate in this activity.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport; on site there are pay parking spaces by the roadside.
