Knock knock! Please knock, this is the home of the dolphins!
Yes, the waters of Golfo Aranci are inhabited by these friendly animals who may keep us company during ourkayaking excursion. A 2½-hour experience in the Sardinian sea, exploring the main attractions from Cala Moresca toIsolotto di Figarolo.
And paddle after paddle, there will be a snorkelling stop guided by a marine biologist and an aperitif stop!
What we will do
I will be waiting for you 20 minutes before the selected time at the meeting point in Golfo Aranci (SS). I, your kayak instructor, will be there to welcome you; these first few minutes will serve to familiarise you with the equipment and learn how to steer the kayak, before we venture out into the Sardinian sea!
Once on board our double kayak, we will paddle through the beautiful marine protected area of Capo Figari: we will sail with views of the Spiaggia dei Baracconi (Baracconi Beach), theIsland of Capo Figari and the Cala Moresca Beach , and the Golfo Aranci Bunker, where a friendly collector of World War II memorabilia lives in the summer. And again, theIslet of Figarolo, from where we will sight theObservatory of Capo Figari.
During the navigation, an aperitif stop of about 20 minutes is planned (included), which includes guttiau bread, assorted fruit, beer (strictly Ichnusa) or fruit juice. There will also be a snorkelling stop guided by a marine biologist to greet the emperor urchin, the cassiopeia jellyfish (which does not sting!) and the peacock damsel (known as the most colourful fish in the entire Mediterranean).
The greetings will not end there: the waters of Golfo Aranci are inhabited by dolphins that, with a bit of luck, we will be able to spot during our excursion!
At the end of the experience, we will return to the meeting point. The experience lasts a total of 2½ hours.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for everyone from 4 to 70 years of age; children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and wear mandatory safety equipment.
The maximum weight limit for participation in the excursion is 100 kg.
It is not necessary to know how to swim in order to participate in the excursion.

The experience takes place from April to October and is confirmed once the minimum number of 4 participants has been reached.
The experience takes place aboard a double kayak; if you are an experienced kayaker, you can request to participate aboard a single kayak by contacting the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail. If you are a single participant, you may request to participate on board a double kayak with a guide by contacting the organiser at the contact details given in your booking confirmation e-mail.
Dogs of all sizes may participate in the excursion by contacting the organiser at the contact details given in the booking confirmation e-mail to indicate their presence; in this case, they will not stop at Cala Moresca but at another beach, as animals are not allowed on the first beach. The mascot of the kayak centre is a German dachshund!
There is a pay car park near the meeting point. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
