Historical or nature excursion? That is the dilemma. But with this kayak tour, you no longer have to choose.
Set off from Formia beach and paddle to the small port of Caposele, where the Roman remains of an ancient villa lie, framed by the sea and the cliffs of the Gulf of Gaeta.
Atwo-hour experience that will have all the flavour of a plunge into the past!
What we will do
The appointment is 15 minutes before 09:00 at the meeting point in Formia (LT), in the fabulous setting of the Gulf of Gaeta. We will be welcomed by thekayak instructor who will guide us during this tour!
Once all the participants have gathered, we will have a short briefing and board the kayak. Paddle after paddle, we will leave the beach of Vindicio behind us to reach the small port of Caposele, about 1 km away.
From the unique perspective of the sea, we will be able to admire the remains of anancient Roman fishpond and an imposing maritime villa.
Afterwards, we will land on a small beach adjacent to the port, to have a close look at the nymphaeums decorated with ancient stuccoes. Before returning, we can enjoy a refreshing swim.
We will finally return to the meeting point after covering a distance of about 5 km. The tour will last about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
The experience is suitable for ages 7 and up; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or have signed authorisation.
This activity is of an easy level, suitable for a first kayaking experience.
Other information
The experience is available from April to November subject to weather conditions at the organiser's discretion, and is confirmed on reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
The organiser has 2 double and 2 single kayaks for a total of 6 participants.
On site there is a changing room with toilet facilities, hot shower for a fee with 50 cent coin, lockers with padlocks available for storing personal belongings. In summer, a bathing service is available, which includes a sunbed, parasol and bar service.
On-site parking is available free of charge or for a fee. The meeting point can be reached by public transport.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
