Full description
Discover the most evocative places on Lake Varese with akayak excursion. Paddle in tranquillity and discover unspoilt corners of nature where many animal species find refuge.
Starting from the Schiranna lido, not far from the city centre, we will paddle to the Bodio Lomnago lido, from where there is awide panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, and then head to theIsolotto Virginia.
Carrying out the tour together with an experienced instructor, we will learn to paddle smoothly and efficiently and carry out the activity in complete safety.
What we will do
The appointment is at the Schiranna Lido in Varese. First we will have an introductory lesson ashore to learn the correct paddling movements and the basic principles of safe navigation.
When we are ready, we will start paddling in the direction of Capolago, characterised by reed thickets and lake vegetation, where various animal species, including many migratory birds, find refuge. From there we will continue towards the lido of Bodio Lomnago, where we will stop for a break and walk to a vantage point with a view of the highest peaks in the area.
The final stop on the tour will beIsolotto Virginia, around which we will be able to observe the remains of ancient settlements on stilts. Here, too, we will make a stop of about 15 minutes and then set off again to return to the starting point.
In total, the activity will last about 4 hours.

This activity is at an easy level and is also intended for beginners and novices in good physical condition, aged 14 and up.

The activity takes place from April to October.
The activity is mainly carried out with single kayaks.
Changing rooms and a locker room for personal belongings are available at the meeting point, while showers are available at a separate location a short distance away.
The meeting point can be reached by public transport from the centre of Varese; there is free parking on site.
